The Wisconsin Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program Expansion Grant is a competitive subgrant initiative administered by the National Center for Grow Your Own that is designed to expand access to the Wisconsin Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (WI-RTAP) and support high-quality registered teacher apprenticeship pathways across the state. The initiative is intended to build on Wisconsin’s existing pilot model, strengthen employer school district and educator preparation partnerships, reduce financial barriers for apprentices, and extend access beyond the current pilot districts into additional regions and licensure shortage areas. The initiative is supported by a $300,000 grant from the Ascendium Education Group to the National Center for Grow Your Own (NCGYO). NCGYO will administer the competitive process, with advisement from statewide partners in Wisconsin.
